A fabulous journey through time
This year, put yourself in the shoes of a paleontologist and be amazed by the fascinating biodiversity of the Jurassic era as you walk through the alleys of the Jardin des Plantes.
Did you know that there were no Tyrannosaurus rex nor Triceratops, no flowers and no grass in the Jurassic era unlike in the movie Jurassic Park? This new edition of the Jardin des Plantes' illuminations reveals the Jurassic as described in recent scientific publications: an era when oceans teemed with life, dinosaurs made landfall and the first birds appeared.
From deep oceans populated by giant marine reptiles to verdant valleys dominated by dinosaurs, explore 5 paleoenvironments and discover the species that once inhabited our planet such as plesiosaurs, archaeopteryx and ammonites for the most emblematic ones.
