Biological anthropology collections

The MNHN’s biological anthropology collections are among the world’s most diverse and as such they constitute a unique resource for comparative studies. With approximately 30,000 pieces or lots, the collections are renowned for their outstanding original fossils from the European Palaeolithic, including Cro-Magnons and a number of Neanderthals, as well as for their phrenological and ethnological casts, and mummies.
