Surrounded by bold, stylish architecture combining powerful tradition with dazzling innovation, introduce your guests to the permanent and temporary exhibitions showcasing the extensive collections of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle.

Science and biodiversity: exciting and extraordinary
Like a theatre of life, the Grande Galerie de l’Évolution presents thousands of animal specimens. True to life, they tell the amazing story of evolution, from the diversity of the marine and land environments to their evolution - a story in three acts, played out in a majestic setting.
Guests will be thrilled to see the Blue Whale, the largest marine mammal weighing in at 150 tons and 30 metres in length, alongside the Etruscan Shrew, the smallest mammal, weighing just 1.5 grams!

Thrilling and thought-provoking
Dive into the diversity of marine life in a blue-lit wonderland of stuffed fish and the first giant squid ever reconstructed! A herd of superbly restored animals seems intent on marching straight ahead, a stunning illustration of the variety of terrestrial species… Walk alongside them, eyes closed, listening to the music clips, or stop awhile to watch a film or look at an interactive programme… Everything here tells the story of how species evolved, from the very beginnings of life around 4 billion years ago. And it also raises the question - wherein lies Man’s responsibility? What future lies in store for our planet?
