Society of Friends of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle and the Jardin des Plantes

The Society of Friends of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle and the Jardin des Plantes was founded in 1907.

The Society of Friends of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle and the Jardin des Plantes was recognized as being of public utility in 1926, under articles 1 and 2 of its statutes:

"{…} To give moral and financial support to the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, to enrich its collections, menageries, laboratories, glasshouses, gardens and libraries, and support the associated scientific and educational work it carries out”. 

"{…} It endeavours to make or encourage donations or free loans so as to develop the Muséum’s various services, to acquire in the interests of these services objects with a scientific or historical value and to procure for the establishment all assistance that may contribute to its prosperity.”
