Welcome to the public contracts section.
Throughout the year, the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle signs new public procurement procedures and manages several hundred contracts.
To enter into a contract, the Muséum must:
- evaluate the requirements in a given sector
- draw up the terms of reference (administrative and technical parts)
- publicise the procurement sufficiently
- monitor the services performed by the selected suppliers
This should be done in compliance with the major principles of public procurement:
- free access to public procurement
- equal treatment of candidates
- procedural transparency
These principles should ensure that public procurement is effective and that taxpayers’ money is put to good use.
