Palaeontology is the study of life in the past through the fossilised beings and organisms that existed during geological times. The palaeontology group contains between 5 and 6 million specimens and microfossil slides, including 4 million lots of invertebrates and 450,000 vertebrates.
Reopening of the collection
Access to the palaeontology collections will be possible again from January 2022. The further relocation will result in the closure of the palaeobotany sector in 2022.
