

Due to the measures taken by the government to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the museums, gardens and zoos of the Museum national d'Histoire naturelle remain close, except the Jardin des Plantes (Garden of Plants), open everyday from 8am to 5.30pm.

Geology is the study of the Earth in terms of its various components and structures, with the aim of piecing together its history. The collections in the geology group comprise over 4,000 meteorites, around 24,000 specimens of endogenous rocks, 294,000 exogenous rocks, 133,000 minerals and over 8.5 km of ocean sediment core samples.
