Premier signalement de Scolopsis taeniopterus (Nemipteridae) et de Gymnocranius elongatus (Lethrinidae) en Nouvelle-Calédonie

Résumé. - Deux espèces néritiques sont signalées pour la première fois au large de Grande-Terre (Nouvelle-Calédonie) : un Nemipteridae, Scolopsis taeniopterus (Cuvier, 1830) et un Lethrinidae, Gymnocranius elongatus Senta, 1973. Les deux signalements constituent d’importants prolongements vers le sud-est de l’aire distribution pour ces espèces du Pacifique central occidental.

Abstract. - First record of Scolopsis taeniopterus (Nemipteridae) and Gymnocranius elongatus (Lethrinidae) from New Caledonia.

Two species of neritic bony fishes are mentioned for the first time from off the Grande Terre (New Caledonia): the monocle bream, Scolopsis taeniopterus (Cuvier, 1830) and the large-eye bream, Gymnocranius elongatus Senta, 1973. Both records are important range extensions toward the south-east for these species of the western central Pacific.
