RÉSUMÉ
L'étude de quelques exemplaires de Scorpions appartenant au genre Chiromachetes Pocock, 1899, déposés au Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle à Paris, autorise la revalidation de ce genre, avec la proposition d'une nouvelle diagnose pour Chiromachetes fergusoni Pocock et la description de Chiromachetes tirupati n.sp. Les deux espèces sont connues uniquement de la région sud de l'Inde.

ABSTRACT
The study of some specimens of scorpions belonging to the genus Chiromachetes Pocock, 1899, deposited in the Natural History Museum of Paris leads to the revalidation of this genus, with a new diagnosis of Chiromachetes fergusoni Pocock and the description of Chiromachetes tirupati n.sp. The two species are only known from the south of India.
