The 22nd and 23rd of June 2009, EDIT will hold a meeting on scientific publishing in natural history institutions.

This workshop aims to provide a platform for publishing staff and decision-makers to exchange their knowledge and improve their know-how in order to face the strategic, editorial and technical challenges in the dissemination of taxonomic information. Experts and service providers from the EDIT network and elsewhere will talk about:

• Aspects of scientific publishing in natural history institutions
• Opportunities and challenges of electronic publishing (a.o. library exchange; digital achieving and nomenclature)
• Intellectual Property Rights and scientific publications (incl. Open Access)
• Opportunities for joint publishing
