Revised description:Single spherical, reticulate lattice bearing four tetrahedrally arranged, multicostate spines.
Remarks:Ormiston and Lane (1976) were incorrect in suggesting that the genus possesses an internal spicule; Deflandre stressed that he could find no traces of spicule in his type material from the Cabrières assemblage.
