Description and dimensions: Caractères du genre. Pores circulaires relativement grands; cornes très fortes, multicostulées, à base large, régulièrement atténuées vers l'extrémité, évoquant un poignard.
[Same characteristics as genus. Relatively big circular pores; very strong horns, multi-sided, with a wide base, progressively slender towards their end, looking like daggers. Diameter 140-177µm, pore diameter approx. 7-12µm, horn bases 50-70µm, length of horns 150-200µm. Repository:Holotype: Slide BD 52/H41. Collection of Micropaleontology. Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris. Type locality: Sedimentary layer 15m high with phosphate nodules in lydites, 43° 34' 05"N - 1° 01' 05"E, Montagne Noire, Cabrières, Hérault, France.
