I am an evolutionary biologist interested in using fungi as models to study subjects as the evolution of host-parasite interactions and the evolution of sex and recombination. During my PhD, I worked with the fungus Microbotryum violaceum, a sterilizing parasite that infects several species of the Caryophyllaceae family. I started as associate professor (Maître de conférences) at the MNHN in Paris in September 2007. I am currently studying evolution of sex and mating types in Ascomycetes.
