This species is often found in open areas and anthropogenic biotopes. Introduced by Man in many Tropical countries in Central and South-America and Indo-Pacific zone.
On rencontre souvent cette espèce dans les milieux ouverts ou anthropisés. Elle a été introduite par l'homme dans de nombreuses localités des zones tropicales d'Amérique et Indo-Pacifique.

Narceus gordanus (Chamberlin, 1943) Fam. Spirobolidae

This nice photo of a coiled specimen of Narceus gordanus was taken by a Rowland Shelley's coworker in the Ocala National Forest, Marion County, Florida (USA). This species is endemic to peninsular Florida from Alachua and Putnam cos., southward, and has a decidedly yellowish coloration to it, which is one of several features that distinguish it from the more widespread, Narceus americanus.

This large species is frenquent in Tropical forests and Hevea plantations. This one has been observed in the Banko forest and near the Sassandra vicinity.
Cette espèce de grande taille se rencontre assez fréquemment en forêt et dans certaines plantations d'hévéa. Observée en forêt de Banko et près de Sassandra.
